You realize that decorating tastes and physical attractiveness are subjective, right? The house is nice but it isn't everyone's taste. I am ambivalent regarding her and their children's looks. It isn't jealousy, I don't know them. They are the one's who agreed to profiled in the WaPo knowing full well they would be judged. What else would be the point of the article?

Just the fact that you would post something so obnoxious reeks of insecurity and jealousy.

NP here - Dunno, there is something seriously retro about the whole profile. Looks like something out of Architectural Digest in 1985. Only thing that is missing is a Golden Retriever. Sounds weird for a poster to say she's "ambivalent" about how these folks look - they more or less have what they were given - but again these folks chose to be profiled in a very public way that seems very cheesy in 2013. But, yes, their house gets a lot of light.

So how does/will a family with school-age children split their time between NY & DC?

What is the point of the article?! Seriously. Other than look at the sh*t we own and we fabulous. In my world, people don't flash what they have. I wouldn't be in a magazine because it would be an invitation to art thieves or burglars.

PP You wouldn't be in a magazine because you don't have anything an art thief or burglar would want, n'est ce pas?
