Administration maybe but not the parents. In recent years escpecially Stoneridge and Holy Child have become popular landing places for conservative country club oriented parents. Administration and parents do not allows align.

I think this has been the case for a while for Stoneridge. The parent population also includes wealthy foreign families, these folks are also very conservative in my experience.

Politics do not affect whether a class of parents if nice as much as other factors. Character and integrity of parents and families does affect a school community. Stoneridge is sadly having some real issues in at least one grade and I think a lot of the issues are from the parents in the grade - trickles down.

Can you please say the grade?

Oops just saw it’s a very old thread.

It is an old thread but many of the posts are up to date including the one about the issues in the one grade. A few girls have left the school because of that class. But SR as a whole should not be judged by the one class, it is a great school and has much to offer. My guess is the PP was talking about 2027. It’s pretty well known.

I do not know about 2027...just assumed it was class of 2028 or 2025 based on the parents.

Speaking as a parent of a current student, the class of 2028 is a great group of girls. As of now in the 8th grade, I don’t know how new girls coming in next year will affect the current group that is staying. The girls are kind to each other, I have not heard of any bullying at all. They have groups of closer friends, but girls move in and out of groups each year depending on new commonalities. Some girls spand over 2 or 3 groups. New girls that have come to SR over the course of middle school have all found their places and seem to be happy. I’m friends with some of the new parents and have not heard any complaints.

How is the class of 2029?

I can’t answer since I don’t have a DD in that class and have not paid attention to them.
