What kind of kitchen does a real buyer want?

That white electrical outlet on the side of the island would drive me crazy!

This whole kitchen would drive me crazy, it looks so cheap and dated it would be a liability if I were looking at the house to buy, the tacky tiles, the shiny finishes, the busy looking overhead cupboards, they would all have to be ripped out.

Rather than being a whiney annoying bitch , why don't you provide a picture of your kitchen or dream kitchen.

Seriously. I don't think half of the most judgmental pps on this board have the kind of updated, stylish home they claim to love so much.

Sure you would, then you would replace everything with platinum.

That is what I meant by some people do not love those cheap white country kitchens.

Love this one. Ours looks somewhat like this, except it isn't nearly as large.

Lol. What in the world makes you think white kitchens are inherently cheaper than dark? Not my post or my pic but I can guarantee those white inset cabinets were not inexpensive.

That kitchen is so 2010 subway tiles and all. Already dated.

So many douchy people here.

Personally I am not a fan of painted cabinets and prefer to see a little grain. NOT oak grain but maple or something that shows it off. When I see white cabinets I think particle board with white laminate plastic over it.

IMO.

Opinions are like assholes. You pretty much just have to do what you like and try not to do anything too out there if you're worried about resale. The kitchens posted so far are much better than what I regularly see in homes around here.

FWIW, I personally love white kitchens like the one shown.

Yuck. The refridge that ate the kitchen. And other than washing dishes, an unusable island. Pass.

"Paint grade" wood cheaper than non-painted cabinets. I like the kitchen, btw.

I also love this one:

I love white kitchens, but when I was shopping for houses they just didn't look that good in real life. I think they're hard for people to pull off or something.
