Who makes the best leggings for girls?

They are not shaped for everyone. They are too high waisted for my tall, slim DD. I think if she were heavier/had some baby pudge on her, then it would fit her better, but she is skin and bones.

Scarlet Mars Baby has great leggings. They are super durable and long lasting. You will definitely not have to worry about holes in the knees and they don’t fade. Great quality! Here’s the link to the website: www.scarletmarsbaby.com

It isn't that new, and their prices have gone up and they charge for shipping (which just offends me in this day and age ). I wasn't in love with their stuff. I stick with HA for most of our leggings. I get Boden ones when they're cute or the color matches exactly, same with Tea, but they don't hold up as well as the Hannas. And now that they have the slim fit they're even better.

I'm investigating a clothing line for girls (5-11 initially) who want a cross between the boys dept and the girls dept. They are active and like many non-disney non-traditional ways of dressing. My first order of business is to bring a better legging to market. What would be the IDEAL legging? Color? Is thickness an issue?
THANKS!!!

Colors that do not fade. Nothing with sparkle. Good elastic band at waist and bottoms that the hems don't start to pull. Knees that stay fit after play. It would be nice to have winter versions with light fleece inside and summer ones that are on the thinner side. I find that many tomboys don't like to wear short shorts and that is what most places offer. And for t-shirts nothing with fitted shape, no huge openings in the collar and no v-necks. It is very very hard to find basic t-shirts for girls that don't look trashy, right or see-thru.

For tee shirts, please please please do solid colors....my kids hate all the shirts with sayings on them, or pictures of cats and palm trees or whatever. It's impossible to find a basic solid shirt sometimes.

Im liking the Lands End reinforced knees for kids (they have a knee patch on the inside of the legging)>

Gymboree shrinks up badly for us. Carters used to suck, but we’ve had good luck with them this year. My DD is very tall and lanky too.

That would be great for my solid kid. What brand are the Costco ones? Are they available online too?

We have had luck with Hanna Anderson.

Hanna Anderson, Tea collection, Mini Boden and gap all make great wearable cotton leggings that last.

I also find ivviva girls leggings are super thick and have a buttery feel, could never imagine these ripping.
