LMAO that was me. I also once said in a thread about baking that "biscuits can go fuck themselves" and someone got a big kick out of that. Those 2 positive comments helped counteract the occasional "You need to learn to read" that I've gotten from time to time when I've disagreed with what someone has said. Funny how disagreement on DCUM = not knowing how to read.

GenXer to Boomer: "You deluded Whole Foods shopping, organic eating, helicopter parenting BABY BOOMER!!!"

Boomer retort: "You omitted the hyphen between 'Whole Foods' and 'shopping', 'organic' and 'eating', and 'helicopter' and 'parenting'."

On the Beauty and Fashion Forum:
"I'll bet you wear . . . . (choose any item from the following list) Dansko clogs, capris, a quilted jacket, sweatpants . . . . "

It is because you disagree with something that wasn't said. Or you add things to the poster's intent, and completely miss the point of what was posted. It is not your diagreement that is an issue, it is your lack of literacy and critical thinking skills.

"Entitled much?" (or some version of spoiled, entitled, etc.)
"DCUM Princess."
"Pearl Clutcher" or some version on that.

Haven't read all 5 pages, so, it might have been mentioned already, but here's my contribution:

Do you shop at Chico's?

LACK OF LITERACY! That's another good one.

Also, it's not "unclench your pearls". Where did you get that? "Unclench" refers to your ass, and is aimed at someone uptight. "Pearl clutcher" is someone who is fearful and/ or easily shocked.

Um, seen "unclench your pearls" plenty on this forum. I could come up with several other responses to your post but they would fall into the DCUM insult category.

Oh, I just assumed you WERE the "unclench your pearls" poster I've seen around. Figured you thought it was clever, and so would re-post it here again, in the hopes of getting a "ha! love that one!" type response, but that you didn't realize that it's a mis-use of a very common and established colloquialism.

But you set me straight! You've seen it plenty on this forum. So of course you didn't think it was correct usage. You were, in fact, pointing out someone else's ignorance while pointing out their unkindness, on an insult thread. I see what you did there. Hats off.

I liked, a while back, someone talking about parents at Janney and saying something about capri pants waddling up the hill. Hilarious.

Four pages and no one mentioned this one? It's the supreme insult. It invalidates any problem that isn't cancer.

It invalidates cancer, too, because here, only the working poor can't get treatment.
