Paying 32K and my DD's teacher has NO idea what she's doing

If you shudder at the thought of Pyle, then it doesn't sound like an option for you. If you want to shut down all discussion from parents who have been in the same boat as you, then what is left for us to say to you? Are you just here to vent about how $32K can't buy perfection?

Well, I'm pretty sure OP said she was looking for views on switching from private to private school, not private to public. That also would be consistent with her posting this in the private school forum, not the public school forum.

Well, in her first post OP just asks if she should pull DD out, without mentioning any alternative. Then in 6:01 she says she has given a lot of thought to public-private and is considering public (but is worried about college results).

It is so easy to say you wish you hadn't gone private. We did public through Grade Six, and are now in private. I think private is worth every penny. I wish we'd started in private.

OP, ask for another teacher? Research another school? If you feel this strongly, you might want to do something. Don't you have more control in private?

Troll?

I don't see any evidence. I wonder if the poster insulting OP (nutcase and those posts) is a troll though.

Because anyone considering moving DC from one private to another private or public must be making it up? Huh?

We're at a private school in Bethesda and are having similar concerns. I feel like we spend so much money and some of the teachers are really not good. I'm leaning toward public for next year.

PP how long in private and what grade? How do you know the teachers aren't good?

Two kids, 5 years in private. One teacher (art) has been using the same boring curriculum for years. Parents complain and nothing is done about it. Another teacher is disliked by most of the kids because she's just unpleasant. For over 60K a year, it's just not worth it.

and you're at WES.

And you need to take a DCUM break. If you're the poster calling everyone nutcase and troll and trying to out them, you have some serious issues that suggest the need for a hiatus in a peaceful place.

For gosh sales, give it a rest! I'm pretty sure you've accused at least three different people of the same offense, one of them me. And I've watched you accuse other posters of the same thing. Turn the page already.

For god's sake, yourself. If you don't want to be accused of being the crazy poster whose abusive threads were deleted from the Sidwell thread ... then stop acting like her. She's said at 22:14 that she's on this thread. If you don't want to be confused with her (if you aren't her), then stop trying to figure out the posters' schools and outing them (what CP did on the Sidwell thread). Stop calling them nuts (also what CP did on the Sidwell thread, but she was more obscene on that thread) for even thinking about changing schools.

In short: stop intimidating and bullying posters who are dissatisfied with their schools, and nobody will confuse you with her.

Since when are all the insults to sincere posters acceptable? Why on earth are you going after the person calling the bully out, instead going after the bully?
