My husband says you're bullshitting us, PP.
What do you drive? a Hummer?
|
I think they're a bit different. BMW drivers are aggressive, but Mercedes drivers are the type to always get in your way because it's convenient for them. Having trouble coming up with a good example, will be back later. |
| Camilier Building off Fernwood drive and Cabin Jon and Giant parking lot are the worst. |
| Can I say F you to the bicyclist who came flying down the sidewalk from behind me and my baby today? Didn't slow down, didn't say "on your right" just sped by so close I could feel the breeze? I almost wish my dog had taken that moment to sniff the other side of the sidewalk... |
| Re BMW and Mercedes driver stereotypes, does that show that the spoils go to the most aggressive? Or the power that comes along with being able to afford more and more expensive resources makes one more self centered? |
Not true! I had to get rid of my BMW but people treated me differently. Speed up to block me, cut me off, etc... |
Oh oh oh. I got one. Middle of winter. Me with a 4 month old. Mercedes races me up the street. I take my gold ole time and get to the gas station to have my car inspected. Mercedes does not get in line with us commoners. No he races around front where he is told even though it is a reinspection he needs to get in line behind me. Now me and four month old are headed in to the food area to wait in shelter. Mercedes says to me " can I get in front of you I'm in a hurry" Me sorry I have a four month old that really needs to be at home. Mercedes calls me a bitch. Yes, I had my baby in my arms. |
When you pay that much for a car it comes with a different set of rules of the road. Or so I assume when they run right through the 4 way stop next to my house. |
I think the underground parking at North Bethesda (Rockville!) Whole Foods is in the running. Especially on weekends. |

It's funny, New Yorkers have become more and more polite. And DC has turned into New York in the 1970s.
|
| LMAO! |
| I think it is an issue with the traffic around here making people more crazy on the road than usual. It seems like every highway, bridge, and street is under construction. And Metro is a crappy, overcrowded and unreliable alternative in most cases. I'm not a road rage person at all, but than damn GW Northbound rock stabilization project right now has me feeling like a rabid animal by the time I get home from work. 45-50 minutes to drive a little over 5 miles will make anyone insane. There are a million similar examples all over the DC area. |

19:20 - not only you know nothing about cars, but your husband too? How do you go car shopping? Do they just charge you twice without you realizing it?
19:41 - People here absolutely treat you different depending on the car. I take my old clunker out, and people are afraid I'm not insured and will hit them. If I take a nice car out, they don't want to hit me (and end up with the tab). 20:44 - THIS. At least someone here gets out some. |
| 22:09 here. Do you people rely on Google for everything and anything? You can't answer certain questions yourselves? Truly scary. |
