I kissed my first boyfriend with a peck on the lips. I wasn't Frenching anyone til my THIRD boyfriend. I still considered those first kisses "romantic". I don't think you have to have your tongue down someone's throat to think of it as a romantic kiss.

I would guess you also held hands with those boyfriends. Should we not hold our children's hands either because it is romantic?
