commuting to DC from Ashburn/loudoun

One option I don’t think that’s been mentioned is taking the Marc train from Leesburg into Union. I have a coworker who lives in Leesburg but works around Union and her husband drops her off at the Marc train every morning on his way to work and it seems to be a pretty easy and stress free option.

I take Rt. 7 to Lewinsville Rd to Dolley Madison to GWPKWY to 50. If I leave later than 6:30, it is slower but if I am out of the driveway by then, it's generally fine.

The reverse is GWPKWY to GT Pike to Rt. 7. I leave work at 4 and I'm in my driveway by 5pm.

Courthouse -> DC at that time is probably another ~30 minutes.

Yes. My husband commutes from Falls Church downtown and it takes him 45 min at rush hour. I take PP’s word that it takes an hour to Courthouse, but crossing the bridges is tough.

There is no March train in Leesburg. The closest is 12 miles away in Maryland.
