| DH is from there. Apparently it's a wonderful place for a family. Great schools. Small townish. Has that little beach on the sound. Classy. |

| Having lived in Westport and Maryland, there is a big difference in private school popularity. There are many less privates in Westport than MD (Montgomery Cty) and Westporters do not tend to seek them out as much as Marylanders do. In other words, private school is less of the "culture" than in MD. Excellent public schools in Westpor, though- Especially Staples High School. Greens Farms Acadamy is a local Westport private. |

| I'm from Fairfield County and know a number of families who went private, including residents of Westport who sent their children to day school in New Haven. But yes the Westport schools are quite good. |
