Interesting. The Grateful Patient caught my eye. A relative of mine gave tens of thousands of dollars to Hopkins after my aunt's life was saved there. All throughout her recovery, he was courted my aunt's doctor and others at the hospital. I believe he still gives quite a bit of money there every year. He looks at it almost like a tit-for-tat. And to be fair, my aunt is the oldest surviving person with her condition in the entire U.S. So maybe he's right!

I'm sure they don't google everyone but yes, they research prospects for capacity and then court you for affinity to make charitable gifts once you are there. There are lots and lots of research tools in addition to Wealth Engine that are used.
