Need Documentaries for my Netflix queue

If you're into music or were into it in your "youth":

American Hardcore, about the history of punk rock in the U.S. Was really interesting. A huge part of it is about how seminal DC was in the formation of punk rock, including information about Henry Rollins and Black Flag, Fugazi, Bad Brains, etc. Helps you to see DC in a much cooler light and gives you a different perspective on this town.

The 7 UP series. A British documentary that follows the lives of 14 British kids of different socioeconomic levels from the age of 7. There is a follow up documentary every 7 years to see how they've changed. Truly addicting.

Oh yes, I've only seen one but I'd like to see them all. Are they on Netflix?

I know, I know. Absolutely heartbreaking. But if you can get through it one more time, focus on Andrew's parents and all the people they comforted and inspired. They were truly were a shining light at the end of a very dark tunnel. But again, I cried everytime I saw this film. But I think after all the heartache there, the parents provide some kind of message about humanity and dignity and the will to go on in the face of darkness. I like to think that this is the main thrust or point of this film above all else.

This is a great thread -- who knew there were so many documentary-lovers out there in DCUM-land? I watched "The September Issue" last night with my 10 y.o. DD lsat night and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We both loved the clothes, and the rivalry between Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington was riveting. For my DD, like watching a fairy tale about two rival princesses. Thanks to the PPs who recommended it!
