Well no. It wasn't a lot better |
| Retailers love inflation. These prices are never coming back down. |
Stop being condescending and ignorant at the same time. It's annoying. It's all a choice. Like I wrote earliar- live off rice, apples, vitamins, and chicken or STFU whe it comes to selection of things you decide to put in your mouth and swallow. Picking organic is no different than not eating... radishes.. or yogurt.... or meat... or... anytinng, including brand selection that differs from your idea. It's all a choice. |
Giant is expensive and crap quality. Go to a Wegmans. |
| 16 oz bag of Stacy’s pita chips is $6.99 at Wegmans. |
My kids like Savoritz brands, and although we are kind of cheap, we are worth nearly $20M. Aldi is a great option for basic foods. |
| Baby carrots $0.99 and radishes $1.99 at Wegmans. Just checked my app. |
Organic is not a proper comparison to what you are saying. Organic is by and large for the rich. Who, are much less likely to have problems with prices going up than others who likely never bought organic in the first place. So no, its not the same as not eating meat or yogurt or whatever the heck else you are trying to compare it to. “my rich people eggs used to cost $6 and now they are $9-whatever shall I do?” |
| I do the weekly shop at Whole Foods and MOMs. Some things have gone up, others are consistently the same. I buy a pretty standard basket of goods so it's easy to see if prices have gone up. And they have not gone up the way OP is claiming. |
They always charge more in the city. But obviously Op is not alone in that things are coming up quite a bit. It’s not even across products. I noticed a big spike in strawberries even thought they are now in season. I’m sure they are energy intensive to transport plus a lot of the workers may be scared to go to work. |
| Thanks, Obama! |

Op I know that that Walmart has terrible customer service and I went in today and I asked for a manager because they wouldn't refund me some clothing I bought at another Walmart even though I had the receipt because they said the clothing had to be returned at that Walmart which is further away and I asked for a manager and they said there was no manager. But here your baby carrots for $1.32

Wee todd. |
My $120 Whole Foods (for years) is now $175. My Costco bill yesterday floored me. |
I’m not sure how your response relates or why you feel the need to call me clueless. I was simply stating the price of a bag of chips and not what it costs to feed teen boys. But I will acknowledge they eat a lot because I have an 18 year old college athlete and a 21 year old runner who are always hungry. My answer is that I buy what is on sale, buy generics where appropriate and take advantage of Costco or Sam’s Club. Grocery prices are insane thanks to the current administration but changing my shopping behavior has really helped us to stretch our dollars. |
