| LGBTQ women have been seeking out women’s colleges for a decade or two now because of their supportive nature and welcoming social scene. There is a crazy poster here that reports any discussion of this for some reason. |

For many, the response is just showing support. They answer that way to show support for the community. What little they know about surveys, it's important to the individual student that the overall results of the survey come-out as showing support. Yes, they are suppose to be answering what is asked, that they "personally identify as ..." but that is not what's happening. People overall, everywhere, push-back against surveys and don't mind messing with the rigidity of survey questions.

| This is similar to a huge increase of Gen Z men identifying themselves as asexual. They are not really asexual, it’s just that they can’t find women who are willing to be dominated by these men. Often seen in maga states. |
Or they’re just bisexual. There’s not really a reason to believe they don’t know their own sexuality. |

They were queer in the past, too. They just didn't say so. Or were LUG or got married and repressed it. More people are LGBTQ than was previously thought.
