That loss to G-town was a train wreck of mistakes. They had a scandalously high number of unforced errors/offsides/turnovers. That's straight up coaching and culture.

Listen I'm certainly no UVA fan, and that second half (and/or entire game if want to argue) vs. G'town was brutal. But the guy won 2 national championships in last 6-7 years and beat Duke, top-ranked ND (twice) and shelled their biggest rival (UNC) to win the ACC championship THIS YEAR... what happened to giving proven guy chance to flush tough year? these boosters/AD/admins are brutal these days... seems like crazy over-reaction..

If it was one year, fine. This year was bad, last year was worse. Going 10-7 and losing in the first round to an unranked team isn’t good enough when you have the last three #1 overall players on the field. The team is sloppy and undisciplined.

I will be curious to see who they get to replace him and to see if there are any changes in the commits.

They should just hire Mark Millon and be done with it.

Let’s just say no one in the Baltimore lacrosse community is surprised and good luck to UVA finding someone willing to take this job.

Lost two 5 star 2026 recruits plus Galika and another top middie.

Another 2026 wanted to go until she got more tuition $$ with twins leaving

Where did the twins go?

And add that to a small, underwhelming 2027 class too

Does the women’s coach favor players from certain areas/clubs of the country? Seems there aren’t many girls from the MD area on the team and I can’t imagine the interest in playing/attending UVA wasn’t there.

In practice, that’s what will happen, they’ll just hire a figurehead of some type. Just like at Mcdonogh.

They don’t give a lot of money, that’s one issue.

They like the private school kids with private school money.

There are plenty of people with money in MD, who send their children to private schools and are top lacrosse players…

Small in quantity. And no in-state recruits.
