| When is UVA going to move on from Coach Millon and his assistant Lars? |
|
They actually would likely be better right now with Mark Millon as the head coach.
Though I think the program would be better off without the whole family. |
| When Lars let millon wear the #9 jersey and another kid on the team already had that number coach lost the team. Virginia is a disaster. Either millons or Lars gone at the end of the year |
Lol. It is pretty funny. Selling your soul to the devil when you stink isn't as rewarding as you can imagine. |
The Towson game was like watching a senior showcase team vs a cohesive team of underclassmen that has played together for years. The Towson guys, with one moose of an exception at attack, was decidedly smaller, but they played so tightly and scrappily and well together vs UVA and their chaos hero ball crap. Worth a watch as I think it's available on the ACC Network for replay. |
Anyone that had a lick of common sense could see the issue a mile away. Think about Hopkins and Maryland didn't even really go after his sons and they are in the "neighborhood" because neither program wanted want to deal with him. Reminds me of the Bratton twins and their impact on the UVA program back in the early 2010s. There is no I in team but there sure is in Millon. |
Well, to be fair, UVA has relied on chaos hero ball for some time now. But they had a few mountains at long pole and Schellenberger and the big Canadian at the other end and could make it work. Now they just have the two little Millons and inconsistent play in the cage and can’t pull it off anymore. They’ve just looked really incomplete and hacky the last couple years. |
| Since Goalie and face off play seems to be at least analytically the biggest difference now and when UVA was successful is it possible that losing the guy that coached both positions, Kip Turner, might be the problem. |
Goalkeeping is the problem this year. Faceoff improved. |
Except the goalie stats are better this year than they've been in 5 years. I get we are only about 1/2 through the year and better competition is coming. There is more to a team than just stats. Chemistry goes along way to any team's success. Lars letting the older Millon where 9 when another player had it was certainly not a good locker room take. |
How are goalie stats better this year? Save % this year is .438. That's terrible. Last year it was .500, year before .514, year before .519. |
|
Faceoff stats are going to take a serious nose dive once they start ACC play. Goalie is the biggest outlier. I can't stand Million and haven't been impressed with the kids but the fact remains the offense as a whole is better this year than last. Chemistry shows up on the stat sheet in a lot of ways. The biggest way on offense in my opinion is assisted goals. 74.4% of UVA's goals have been assisted this year. That ranks second in the NCAA.

The worst part is that they gave McCabe #9 while the player who originally had that number was in the hospital after having to have open heart surgery. Just an awful look for Daddy Millon, Lars and McCabe. |
|
| So Shelly has a scheme that is getting guys open and the younger Millon is getting the ball to different players trusting that they'll put it in the back of the net. You're right the chemistry sounds awful and is definitely the biggest problem there. Fire everyone. |
