Can you explain where I’m wrong. The women on the team would agree with me. Professional athletes are realistic about the disparity.

No one is claiming that The speed of the skating in women's hockey is as fast as the speed of the skating in men's hockey. The women won a gold medal in women's hockey and they're great and they shouldn't have been subjected to a disrespectful joke at their expense by the president of our country.

I don’t disagree at all, but there is a poster here that doesn’t believe there is a consequential strength, speed and skill gap between the men’s and women’s teams.

Let's face it. 1980 was incredible. Young, college age U.S. men going up against the Soviet sports machine. I was old enough to remember. It was truly a miracle.

I know the sports business is dying for a repeat, Miracle 2.0. But these guys are good (shouldn't they be, they are NHL) but the U.S. will mostly forget the game.

We really aren't a hockey country. It was the cold war aspect that made the other one so memorable. And these guys will be remembered more for the locker room than anything they did on ice as time goes on.
