Why are so many healthy normal folks dying off all of a sudden. ?

I am 74.

Huh? You're 74. Your peers should be dropping like flies at that age.

I have over my lifetime lost a number of friends, acquaintances, colleagues and classmates. If you’re curious about those that died young…majority were suicide. One died in twin towers on 9-11. One good friend died more recently from cancer. Trouble is the jerks are alive and kicking!

54. My best mom friend died from a heart attack a few years ago; she was 42. My best friend from HS died from ovarian cancer at 50. My brother died by suicide in his late 30’s. I don’t really have a friend group anymore.

I'm in my 50s.

In college, I had a friend die by suicide and another in a car crash. Another was murdered.

In my 40s, a friend died of lymphoma and another of colon cancer.

In the past few years, my childhood best friend died from addiction. My serious boyfriend from when I was in my 20s died of lung cancer. High school classmates have died by overdose/suicide, heart attack/stroke, surgical complications (from a purely elective surgery, sadly).

I'm 53, my best friend from college died at 35 from an autoimmune disorder (it is fatal 1% of the time, she was in the 1%) and my best friend from high school died at 41 from pancreatic cancer--she was a waitress and didn't have health insurance, this was literally the year before the ACA went into effect.

At least 4 or 5 people from my high school class have died, some from overdoses, and several friends have lost husbands, mostly from cancer.

I knew 3 people that died in accidents my first year of college (two HS friends and a college friend). Since then friend deaths have been few and far between, knock on wood. I felt like my older brothers had a lot of friends start dying in their 50s so I was bracing for it. I'm 53... so far so good, though I have had several friends who had close friends die.

I am 41. 2 close friends. One had undiagnosed leukemia and the other self inflicted

I would say my circle of close friends might be like 10-12 people. Early 40s and 50s. None so far.

I have had a few acquaintances die. I have a very large circle though.
