do you think the "friends" actors were talented?

I like her a lot, but get tired of her falling into her “Rachel” shtick and calling everyone “honey” in all of her roles. Gets old.

I don’t think you know what subversive means.

I think they are all good enough TV/rom-com actors, some better than others. I would say Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston are the better tier.

Horrible Bosses, The Morning Show? She's had her moments.

Isn't Horrible Bosses a bro comedy where she just plays a nymphomaniac? Hardly one of her better roles, and I do think she's a good actress.

^^^ This post

Has anyone seen the Tracy Ulman BBC sketch on the millenial support group that was given an assignment to watch friends to help them to overcome getting offended by and finding microaggressions in everything?

+1
I laughed at the sheer cluelessness of the PP.

I always thought I hated Schwimmer, but I rewatched the show as an adult and realized how great his comedic timing is. Teenage me just didn’t like Ross.

Ross was annoying, but Schwimmer's comedic timing and physicality were spot-on.
LeBlanc got more nuanced as the show went on, and definitely developed as an actor (which Perry chronicles in his book).
Perry was one-note. Could he BE any more one note?
I didn't understand Kudrow's character. Phoebe was just zany and off. No depth.
I think Aniston and Cox both brought a lot to roles that could have been stock characters (Type A and spoiled princess).

Monica was former fat girl turned beauty after her teen years, plus the sibling that the parents never noticed, with all the baggage that enrailed.

She was type A because of that transition from her tern years.

In the first season Joey seemed a little more intelligent than in later seasons. Not sure why they changed the character but he did a great job.

Aniston
Perry
Kudrow
Schwimmer
Cox
Leblanc

They all have their capacities.

This is not the right order. I do think they were all talented. Have you ever seen Matt LeBlanc not doing Joey? He is a completely different person. (That is also how I feel about Jean Stapleton who used to play Edith Bunker… she is amazing!)

It takes a talented actor to play dumb and also chauvanistic in a way that is funny, endearing and charming, with depth of character and sensitivity.

I really enjoyed his other show Episodes. But it may just be that he’s playing himself?

It’s not remotely close to the right order.. Schwimmer first.

I thought Courteney Cox was amazingly funny, and also Lisa Kudrow. Both had perfect comedic timing.
