I actually think Matt Leblanc is quite talented.

It takes a talented actor to play dumb and also chauvanistic in a way that is funny, endearing and charming, with depth of character and sensitivity.

If Perry had been able to stay sober he could have gone down a Tom Hanks-like path. I got to know him a bit personally—his story is so tragic. He and Kudrow were the most talented but Aniston probably the shrewdest performer. They were all perfectly cast and the chemistry was incredible. On paper it would be hard to buy that these six people would be best pals and yet they sold the hell out of it as actors while making it look effortless.

No idea about the quality of the acting, but I loved the characters of Chandler Bing and Phoebe Buffay. I'm a research scientist, and felt offended at how a PhD scientist was portrayed in the show. Poor David Schwimmer. I felt he had a terrible role.

Matthew created an entirely new cadence for the character of Chandler Bing. You can hear him emphasize the verb.

“Could I BE wearing any more clothes?”

That’s not the writers. That was Matthew Perry.

If you’ve never seen bad actors you don’t know just how GOOD the good actors are.

Comedy is insanely hard to do.

I agree with this comment, except I think Modern Family replicated the chemistry. But I also think the writing was smarter on Modern Family. The Friends cast didn’t have much to work with the last two seasons.

The last two seasons were not as good as the others because the series was suppose to end at season 8. Pretty sure it would have been baby with Ross and Rachel and then getting married. But then NBC wanted to continue it and that’s when the cast go a million each per episode.

Haven't seen The Morning Show but I've never seen any of them show serious acting chops.

Aniston and Kudrow have been good in numerous roles but nothing that wowed me.

The creators of the show said they knew from day 1 Aniston was going to be a superstar, she had the “it” factor.

Also, first season, Schwimmer’s timing was impeccable.
