I’m guessing the dad is relieved that he no longer has to deal with the messiness of a local ex.

Now he can just carry on with his wife and kids without dealing with visits, etc. He can pretend like she never existed and it’s not his fault…

When I read the news the other day, my first thought was that he requested she be deported.

Arrested for “suspicion of battery” with no charge or prosecution doesn’t mean she is violent. It just means they didn’t have enough evidence to charge anything.
