Question on Anti semitism

Anonymous
Where the 12 people interviewed upset that other colleagues criticized Israel, or did they actually were the subject of real antisemitic comments or actions?

My point was that this was not disclosed by the school. So it’s hard to tell exactly what we are dealing with.

I am interested, but so far no one has provided a reasonable answer to the original post on how you determine there an injustice at school.

Everybody has answered. You just don’t like the answers.

Not really. People say its correct, but when I ask why other violations to the code conduct (homophobia or racism) are not implemented in the same way, nobody answers.

Again, they have answered it. Everyone has agreed that if any minority group is feeling discriminated against and the information is from many staff members, it should be dealt with.

And if 6 black staff members all said that they have experienced racism, then, yes, the school is racist and changes need to be made.

If any of the teachers were dealing with parents like the OP is in this thread, it has nothing to do with Israel and everything to do with antisemitism. OP really needs to think about why this upsets her.

If a report says a school is antisemitic, the report should give the basis for this conclusion. A simple survey of people’s emotions and feelings is not enough. They should detail the incidents that caused teachers to feel this way. How can a situation be fixed if people don’t know what exactly happened. And I’m not the op

I fully agree with this.

Sure, but I see the school admitting antisemitism but not admitting that is anti gay or racist. Why do you think is that ? Do you think that antisemitism is the only violation in the code of conduct ? What do you think?

Are you the arbiter of what "real antisemitism" is or do Jews have to clear it with every non-Jewish member of the community to feel like they're not valued? 11 of 12 faculty members interviewed said that they felt marginalized within the school's culture. What exactly is your standard for when it becomes "real"?

I'm sorry that you want to minimize antisemitism and that you don't trust the school's administration to use their own judgement about whether it is a problem at the school, but it is not incumbent on the Jews to ask your permission if how they are feeling is correct. Frankly, your repeated responses (assuming you are the OP) are part of the problem.

Just make your point, don't attempt to "educate" us through questions or presenting hypothetical scenarios. You are not our professor.

Who said that the school is anti gay or racist? Are you putting words in gay people or black people's mouths, as props to prove your argument?

Wait, so those groups were also interviewed and most of them said they were feeling discriminated against and your school only chose to focus on antisemitism? Sure that happened…

Or did those groups did not feel the same way and therefore it wasn’t mentioned.

It really sounds like you hate the school and should leave. Problem solved. Well for you anyways.
