Private & Independent Schools
Broken link, babe. |
This is what happens when the employer has the right to decide what information to conceal and what information to release : https://edition.cnn.com/2019/06/27/politics/washington-national-cathedral-schools-sex-abuse-investigation |
We’ve answered your question. You ask how schools handle it. None of them disclose details. The fact that you don’t like that answer doesn’t make the responders trolls. |
Google this hottie : Investigation finds sex abuse at Washington National Cathedral schools |
I found surprising that amount of cases of child molestation in private schools in nw dc because the lack of accountability. |
Your question has been answered over and over. You don’t trust your private school. Got it. Your only option is to leave. They aren’t going to open personnel records to you because you show up with links to scandals that have nothing to do current teachers. It must aggravate you terribly that private school teachers are given professional respect and that their private lives aren’t open to your scrutiny. |
Agree. Barring a criminal act, schools won’t and shouldn’t disclose personnel information to parents. |
Agree with you criminal acts or physical attacks to kids but people here want NO disclosure at all. You really deserve what you get from your private schools. |
Not quite. You’ve been wanting to know why people got fired or left midyear. If it was a criminal issue, you’d know. Since you don’t, you can reasonably assume it’s absolutely none of your business. And if that answer bothers you, then move to school you trust more. But know this: the next school isn’t going to tell you why teachers leave, either. |
There should be a replacement. You still have no right to an explanation of why the teacher left. |
I guess depends of the reason. If personal issue no, agree. |
Definitely I wouldn’t move to a school with parents as humble but you. I am glad you are not in charge of schools. You know school learn over time from their mistakes. Before it was ok to hide cases of sexual assault, not anymore. Maybe in the future there could be more disclosure of illicit activities by teachers. Just wait and see. |
Teachers do not give up their rights to privacy when they accept a position. You can’t use your distrust of an organization as a silly excuse to demand personnel files you have absolutely no right to. Schools aren’t going to tell you why teachers leave, and no amount of fabricated stories about “illicit activities” is going to change that. If you don’t trust the school, then leave. There’s nothing keeping you there. |
You are wrong. |
Sounds like you would be happy if that happened. Why? |
