The anti-children sentiment on Reddit makes me uncomfortable

You do realise that what is posted on Reddit is often not the truth

Your decision to have children and taking care of them is a choice you made, other people didn't so expecting them to mold their lives to facilitate yours is unfair. They don't owe it to you.

That being said, any decent person would be kind and let you have it, not because you are entitled but because they are good people.

However, not indulging you wouldn't make them bad people. You don't know their struggles.

Imo biggest issue with Reddit is that people from all over the world post on unrelated forums and that causes confusion. Its not just non parents on parenting forum but married people on dating forums, parents on teen forums etc.

For example, Reddit ABCD is for American born kids of SouthAsian origin but Indians from India to UK to Uganda, all post comments on it. That's really confusing as they can't relate to issues of people whose lives are vastly different from theirs.

Same way, Reddit for progressive American muslims is invaded by conservatives muslims and even non-muslims who can totally derail threads and make progressive muslims uncomfortable posting there.

It would be nice to at least limit Reddit to geographical areas.

That being said, may be that's the real strength of Reddit and we are mistaken.
