This. Hot lobster roll drenched in butter is so much better than mayo based lobster roll.

In addition to the many great ideas so far, porkroll in NJ. Ideally, porkroll, egg and cheese on a hard roll. Much, much better than scrapple.

Also, Manhattan clam chowder is far superior to New England clam chowder [ducks].

I had a long term boyfriend from Buffalo. We used to go to a Friday Fish fry at a dive-y restaurant that billed it as their "Anacin Fish Fry"--for your haddock. Harhar. Anyway it was awesome.

Kentucky Hot Browns from the Brown Hotel in Louisville. Also shrimp and grits from Jack Frys restaurant in Louisville - totally different from shrimp and grits elsewhere.
