Impactful.
Just makes me think of extreme constipation. |
Gifted/gifting came to mind before I even clicked.
I also hate hubs/bigs/littles/kiddos/women calling other people “mama” |
+ kiddos |
Didn’t read the whole thread.
Calling kids Bud (sometimes Bug for a girl) - you named the kid. Thought about the name.me a lot while pregnant. Use it! Align. |
Same. My god. |
Do you only refer to your kid by their first name? |
My kids say “low key” and “bro” or “brah”. So annoying. |
I get it. I legit think “sucks” is profane. I cringe when people use the word in public. |
Yes, generally. Or if it’s just me and kid and I say something while looking at her, she understands I am talking to her. I cringe so much at the hey bud over and over (while the kid ignores the parent most times). When my kid gets hurt or sick I may also say honey or sweetie. |
Not annoyed, but I feel unable to respond fully when someone fills half their story with "blah blah blah" ("He sat there and blah blah blah. I ask him why he sat there and he was like blah blah blah...."). I get so caught up in wondering what the missing pieces are that I lose the ability to listen! |
I love my Gen Z children but many Gen Z favorite descriptors are prone to overuse, misuse, devalue more serious concepts or promote online misogyny and casual meanness.
For example, - triggered - trauma - gaslight - delulu Some are plain offensive Huzz (derived from hoes) Gay (when used to mean stupid or bad) R word (when used to insult people with intellectual disabilities as stupid) That said, every generation has to figure out collective meanings for themselves. I don’t think older generations are supposed to love young generations’ insider slang. |
That’s…interesting. |
I hate that one. The fitness site I prefer uses it, and I have to ignore it because otherwise I love the trainers and the site. But stop with "spicy"! |
When people use myself it always sounds pretentious. Just say me! I don't usually see myself being used as the subject, but I hear so many people using "I" instead of me like they are afraid of using the objective case of pronouns incorrectly. They err when trying not to err. |
I hate when the media says someone is "breaking their silence." |
