I'm really tired of the phrase "it's giving..." As in "it's giving desperation" or "it's giving fierce." I hear it a lot in fashion/culture journalism and it's giving ... me a headache.

I hate the use of spicy to mean “painful.” I have heard it in fitness classes and also at the dentist’s. “This is going to feel a little spicy now.”’dumb euphemism
