Not true. Only in ceetain cases of massive disruption to the land.

Oh, and pedestrian-involved crashes in MoCo (which include when the pedestrian is at fault). Comparing Jan-Jul 2024 vs 2025, it's about the same, down very slightly: 257 vs 245 in 2025.

This despite all the lowering of speed limits and adding no turn on red signs.

Because running the liquor monopoly contributes $30mln+ per year to the county budget, and they can't give up that sweet revenue stream even if it's anti-consumer and anti-business.

Maybe the county should set up other monopolies to pay the bills. Who needs Giant and Whole Foods when we can just have the county sell us our groceries?

Flooding the county with marijuana is bad enough. You want to turn into a giant drunk den too?

Bizarre complaint. Is there any jurisdiction in this area that makes snow-related closure decisions on a school-by-school basis, rather than countywide?

Right, like how they inserted that one in this diacussion

Progressive democrats rule MoCo with an iron fist. There are no moderates left.

Who came up with “NO TURN ON RED” rule? These signs are popping up everywhere. WTF?

Anonymous wrote:Went to get beer today. Bar tender said he couldn't give me a pint of the beer because of MoCo laws that limited pours to 10 Oz only due to ABV. So stupid. In what world does this help? I could just order two beers to get more than a desired pint. Because of MoCo laws, I will get more drunk agyer being forced to buy two pours rather than being satisfied with an actual pint of beer. Such stupid nanny state junk.

The other really stupid law is use of roundup. Newsflash, use of roundup by a resident isn't going to cause mass cancer. It isn't going to kill pollinators. Yet MoCo nannying makes it 100x more difficult to control weeds on your own property. So dumb.

I thought it'd be fun to list other insane and asinine MoCo laws and ordinances. What you got?

Just buy the damn beer and drink in your own damn backyard/deck/patio/bed

Was wondering why there are these new signs around my neighborhood in intersections that dont make sense. Unbelievable how one lawmaker can accomplish such a dumbass move that will affect our commutes forever.

It's really bad for the environment also. Meanwhile, there are intersections that are incredibly dangerous where drivers routinely ignore "no right turn on red" signs with heavy pedestrian traffic, and there is zero enforcement -- the right turn from Georgia onto Colesville is a glaring example. Maybe try to enforce existing "no right turn" signs at dangerous intersections before adding more?
