So sticking it to the Lyft drivers and housekeepers is how you do it. Disney makes the same off you either way. |
Wow, the shades of green have really intensified. We never stayed there as it was more expensive than the value or moderate hotels with the military discount, but we rarely paid more than $150 a night. Shades of Green always seemed like a hassle getting to the parks. |
You’re really fixated here. I am not trying to stick it to Disney. I don’t know where you got that idea from my saying I traveled to California to go to DISNEYland. I prefer to tip, pay taxes, and support the tourism industry in California rather than Florida. Is that clear now? |
it's not clear that you don't realize Disney HQ is in Florida. You are still supporting Florida. |
Disney is headquartered in Burbank. California. I’m glad to have been able to clear that up for you. |
We're category 2 and it was about 230 a night (no additional tax). I feel like it's worth it. We've stayed 2 other times as well and the prices have been creeping up. Their bus system isn't too bad, the rooms are large, the setting is peaceful, and you get the early entry and late night privileges. You used to be able to walk over to the Polynesian, which was nice, but that ended with the new road construction. |
As long as you feel good about spending money at Disney knowing that it's flowing to Florida to prop up the businesses and economy there. |
You are delulu. Go outside. |
Disney is set to spent $17B in Florida. But none of that came from your support, I'm sure. |
Cool story bro. They also spent a ton of money on a NY HQ. If you want to spend your holiday weekend doing the math of how much from $1000 tickets purchased and used in CA went to the Florida State government, I’ll happily review your work. |
This has not been my experience at all. Maybe it’s my social circle, but the Disney goers we know are also world travelers and have been all over the US. |
Yes, we are all aware you don’t know any middle class families, it’s blatantly obvious. |
K, at the end of the day Florida isn't suffering from your loss of business either so it's a futile display of protest. |

Fl resident here. Just so you know...there are millions of us who are NOT maga/trumpy/red. My own LGBTQ kid works at Disney World. I mean, I respect your choice to spend your own money where you think best, but the generalizing in this thread is crazy-making. |
