Marginal difference. Why so sensitive about your school?

If was majoring in humanities, arts or business, I would choose ND. Anything STEM related etc. I would probably choose UM.

REA is definitely an advantage if you have the stats. In my daughter's Scoir, high stats applicants who applied RD did not do nearly as well as REA. In fact all the high stats applicants in the RD cycle were denied last year. This is in a school that has a 40% admit rate to ND. Let that sink in.

Not sure where you are getting your information, but the CDS shows that ND has higher scores than Michigan every single year. For 2024-25:

ND:
SAT: 1470/1540
ACT: 33/35

Michigan:
SAT: 1360/1530
ACT: 31/34

Was getting the information from our school's naviance account. From our (public) school you need better grades for Notre Dame. Test scores for Michigan.

I didn't go to either, neither did my wife or kids. Just trying to help out.

No, you don’t. You need higher SATs. Your school is an outlier. And your evidence is anecdotal.

Well you stated it as if it were for general population. Each school's naviance is going to tell a different story. CDS is the best source to compare universities.

At least at Michigan, you can enjoy good basketball as well.
