Road rage and speeding out of control. US should enforce speeding with cameras and average speed

The scariest thing I've seen most recently is someone pulling out in front of me and then slamming on their brakes in hopes that I hit them. I've had kids in the car too. It's happened to me twice. No one in front of them. They just slam on the breaks. One person even started driving backwards into me and I had to turn off the road immediately. Have cameras on your cars. Crazy drivers out there.

Agree. It would be a pain, but people should have to work harder to get and keep a license. It is so clear that many, many drivers (and not necessarily new ones) have no idea what the rules of the road are. And I'm so tired of people making bad moves that endanger everyone because they got in the wrong turn lane. No, you cannot swerve over into my lane abruptly or hold up a line of traffic while you try to merge into another lane because you don't want to turn around.

A good driver will occasionally miss their turn. A bad driver never will.

Yeah, that was a lesson I drilled into my daughter, if you’re in the turn lane or a committed lane just take it and figure out how to get back, don’t try and make a last-minute switch

Amusingly, I saw someone backing up in the breakdown lane to take an exit on 95S last week. The interesting part, he was towing a boat.

This happened to me too!!!! OMG!

Was this in Hybla Valley, on Route 1 near Lockheed Blvd? A guy in an old minivan did this to me. Pulled out in front of me with very little margin, then slammed on his brakes for no reason. When I stopped about 10-15 feet behind him, he started backing up!! I didn’t have anyone behind me so I quickly went into reverse and backed up quickly and then he stopped and I went around him at that point.


Gray minivan with peeling paint on the hood? Latino guy, maybe 40’s? Had a mustache and a gold chain.

Tons of videos online of people doing this, but getting caught doing it now because of the increase of dash cams in use.

I have observed more reckless and road rage-y driving in the last year than ever before in my life. I don’t know if it’s phones, post-Covid, or what, but people drive like they have a death wish for themselves and others. It’s very frightening.

Many come from countries where driving is like demo-derby style. Most Americans would freak if they drove in many countries south of here, or especially on the other side of the world.

In Japan, all cars are required to have GPS and contain speed limit maps. One cannot speed on a public road in Japan without having made an illegal modification. Source: Top Gear
