Road rage and speeding out of control. US should enforce speeding with cameras and average speed

We need green light cameras - for people who remain stopped when the light turns green, and they're distracted (on their phone, spaced out) that they waste everyone's time.

You can call it a voluntary tax.

Poor people don’t pay tickets. And what are you going to do? Throw them in prison?

It’s ok though. The new cars have a bunch of great safety features.

🙄

All those beeps and signals screaming at me every time I park my car and I just tune them out now because they don’t communicate anything useful.

Once again, just stay in the right lane and let them go as fast as they would like to the left of you. If people are always cutting in front of you or tailgating you then there is a reason and it’s staring right back at you in the rear view mirror.

There are always drivers holding up the left lane to where even drivers in the right lane are getting cut off by aggressive drivers weaving in and out of lanes. As long as the left lane has a speed limit, drivers who drive at that speed in that lane and believe they are doing the right thing.

I already am driving in the very farthest right lane, and I am going above the posted speed, and there is a wide open lane to my left, but still idiots tailgate me for looong distances (not merely to the next exit).

Tailgating is not because of slow speed. It happens because some drivers cannot drive properly.

People have different comfort levels when driving - it's not really a matter of "properly."

Some people have a different idea of space and speed, and can be closer and faster than you'd like, but still feel very safe. Your comfort levels may be very different.

I hope you don’t kill someone.

Sounds like you suck at driving, OP.

I think you need remedial driver's education. I stand by my statement that you cannot drive well. Otherwise, you would not be attracting so much nonsense and drama. I bet you have a lot of drama in your personal life too, honey.

OP if you feel like this is happening to you all the time, then the problem is you. Either your driving skills, your expectations of other drivers, or both.

Maybe they are on drugs or maybe you are on 3+ lane highway and the right lane is almost as bad as the left lane as both are used by aggressive drivers. Stay in the middle.

And tailgating doesn't cause accidents unless the car being tailgated needs to, or chooses to, brake suddenly. Just ignore the tailgater. Unless she rams you, no accident is going to occur from her being close to your back bumper.

There are just so many bad drivers! I understand the road rage frustration. I think we need driving tests for new drivers licenses.

And what is up with ALL these cars having stickers saying "new driver, thanks for your patience." And then it's a 40 year old, not a 16 year old. And the person is a slow, terrible driver.
