Haven't been. Does Vassar have a lovely campus? I feel like the SLAC I've visited so far in Maine have been just okay.
We'll check out Vassar.

none of the Maine LACs are known to be that gorgeous, so you really started on the wrong foot.
I'd look at Vassar, Pomona/Scripps, Williams, and Smith.

I’d hope that any SLAC that’s charging 60-80k a year and doesn’t have to contend with being in a city can manage to have a beautiful Campus…

It’s the physical setting for several recent TV shows…Four Seasons on Netflix (Fall episode) and Sex Life of College Girls on Max.

I guess it’s the stand in for quintessential college campus.

There's no correlation between anything you're saying.

You’ve never noticed that high priced schools generally have nice campuses?

You’ve never noticed that high priced schools generally have nice campuses?

Cause you ignore the low priced schools that also do.

Also, urban schools aren't ugly. Really nothing you said correlates. I'm not sure why you brought that $hit point up in the first place.

OMG I have literally split my sides laughing.
I visited UVA with my parents when I was 13
It was singularly unimpressive.
I'm in my 50s now and would never allow my kids to even apply!

UVA is gorgeous. Only school in the country that’s a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Please reread your post. I feel bad for your kids.

I don’t think unesco is in the business of declaring sites “beautiful.”

My response was deleted for whatever reason. I’ll try again.

Not conflating UVA beauty with UVA UNESCO designation. In my opinion, UVA is beautiful AND it’s a fact that UVA’s academical village IS a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site - the only university in the country with such a designation.

There are other campuses in Virginia that are prettier - UMW, JMU, and Virginia Tech come to mind.

I’ve never seen UMW but saying JMU (I-81 U) and VT are prettier than UVA is laughable.

No it isn't. Everyone is entitled to their view of what is pretty.

You clearly went to JMU to include it on any list of attractive campuses. It’s one of the ugliest I’ve ever seen. And no one thinks it’s attractive… I didn’t think JMU grads did until now.

No. I didn't go to JMU. I just find it ridiculous for you to put down someone on something that is clearly subjective.

The nvcc campus should be on the list.

It’s subjective but your statement that UVA is “clearly over rated” is just an objective fact.

That wasn't my statement.

The VT picture is very blah. 90% of the appeal comes from that one tree.
