The Bucknell troll is funny. Clearly done on purpose to get a reaction and it always works. The Holy Cross troll is delusional. |
"The only LACs that matter are WAS and a couple of others." REALLY? What is wrong with you? Here is something to chew on... Every kid matters and every college experience matters for each of them. GROW UP. Not everyone peaks in high school. |
| Parents still amazed that their kid can’t get into any Ivy like they did back when admission rates were 30%. |

Wtf is WAS? |
Woo..that's a long way back my friend. The good old days when I was applying. |
| NP. I see a real shift to state schools and especially SEC schools in my real life. I’ve even seen Ivy-potentials not apply to any, or even turn down an Ivy. The reason is the perception that that the value isn’t there, and they are miserable places. |
Williams Amherst Swarthmore. It's for snobs who don't believe that WASP is elite enough (can't take California-based Pomona seriously), even though the four schools are indistinguishable outside of location and cultural differences. |
Miserable? My kid’s gets big name concerts on the green. SNL at the theater. Tons of festivals. Laid-back and friendly. You just parrot bs. |
How about WASaBi? B for Bowdoin. |
What a strange thing to do. Sometimes surprised by the provincial attitudes here. |

Use of “provincial” on this board is like nails on a chalk board to me! Ugh. I hope we never meet IRL. - not PP |
| VA parents are chasing the Big Threé |
Shrug. I’m just the messenger here, and I’m telling you that kids these days, including Ivy-potential kids, think the Ivies are miserable places filled with miserable people. Ivies aren’t seen the way they used to be, and I’m a HYS graduate myself. |
