I'll say this about Trump. He's not a warmonger. Knowing how unpopular another war in the Middle East would be after twenty years in Iraq and Afghanistan, I think there is zero chance Trump is going to do something stupid like Bush did and invade countries for dumb reasons. Frankly, I think the Hillary Clinton wing of the Democratic Party is far more dangerous. Plus, the advent of drone warfare has changed everything. Any major conflict going forward is going to be catastrophic. I would rather have Trump as CIC than a Democrat who wants to prove she's tough and all that BS.

You may be right about Trump, but there are forces which are collectively much more powerful than him. These are the same forces that enabled us and benefited from the Iraq war.
