The longer a conflict goes on, the uglier it gets, and the more willing people are to support things that they wouldn’t have before. By the end of WW2, the Allies were “terror bombing” entire cities, killing tens of thousands of civilians per night.

The Yemeni genocide and starvation is also linked to Israel. Israel is too scared to fight Iran so they are fighting the weakest and poorest link (Yemen) in the region indirectly along with the richest links/US Israeli GCC proxies and even hungry, they still beat down our planes and 500 billion dollars spent in war. How embarrassing. Trump gave the Houthis props and surrendered. Very very embarrassing for the US, Israel, and friends.

How can they face up in Iran when impoverished famine torn places Yemen, Somalia, Afghanistan, Gaza are unable to be successfully won?

One of the reasons with the sudden shift in how Israel is viewed is that we have so extensively studied the Holocaust and recognize it as evil. Now because we are all able to live-stream what is happening in Gaza, it is only natural that we can see the parallels especially with the weaponization of food and the forced starvation. Hitler's hunger plan is being repeated:

This is really nothing new. It’s been like this for decades.

There was a brief lull between the end of the Second Intifada and the recent flare up. I think younger people who grew up during this period often don’t realize that Israel is no more or less hated today than it was 25, 50, or 75 years ago.

I disagree. I think most people over the past 50 years have been broadly sympathetic to Israel. The memory of the Holocaust was fresher. And Palestinian terrorism has been in the news forever - from the Munich Olympic massacre to airplane hijackings to killing elderly cruise ship passengers to Black September and murdering the prime minister of Jordan to blowing up buses and restaurants to causing the civil war in Lebanon to siding with Saddam Hussein's invasion of Kuwait and on and on and on. Be real. Palestinians embrace terror, and as a consequence they have no allies anywhere - except Iran.

When Hamas invaded Israel and committed all those atrocities, the world was broadly sympathetic with Israel. And most agreed that the destruction of Hamas was a just goal. Hamas declared war, and Israel responded accordingly. A military response was legitimate and people understood.

However, the Netanyahu government and the fringe right wing orthodox settler parties have been a disaster for Israel. Their cruelty and utter disregard for innocent civilians in Gaza has been noted by everyone. I am generally pro-Israel, but I am absolutely disgusted with Netanyahu, Likud, and Israelis generally. We are more than 18 months in. Gaza is destroyed. And the IDF is still killing people seeking food. It is appalling what Israel is doing now.

Palestinians need to get rid of Hamas. And Israelis need to get rid of Netanyahu and Likud. Obviously, the US should stop all military aid and support for Israel. Those planes and those bombs are all American planes and American bombs. That needs to end. The world needs to get it together and isolate Israel completely until they choose a different path. The right wing in Israel is genuinely evil - like Hamas.

The Allies did not win WW2 with the massive bombing campaigns. All we did was tatter Europe so badly we needed a Marshall Plan. What hurt the Nazis was the ground war with Russia on the Eastern Front.

People might remember when Netanyahu and AIPAC were desperately lobbying congress to go to war with Iraq as in the video below. But they don't realize that Netanyahu had already had plans for war and regime change in Iraq in the 1990s.
