Anyone else not liking the new Kirkland liquid dish detergent formula?

YES! We have had the same problem. I threw the stuff out! I had to do a through cleaning which included placing 2 cups of white vinegar on the lower rack. I will not return to Costo Soap until I get a letter from them telling me they changed!

Oh my gosh I'm so happy to have found this thread. I literally thought I was a crazy person because I stopped bringing any leftovers to work because everytime I would try to eat them they would taste like nasty dishsoap!!! And we've been using the Kirkland dishwasher soap for years. Ugh, I will be purchasing Cascade tomorrow!

I am so glad I googled this. ..so many of you have the same problem. My whole cabimet where I store plasticware stinks. Even the lids to the glassware have absorbed so much perfume that it makes the food totally unedible within a couple hours. I had same issue with cascade total purchased from costco right before this one. Now that I figured it out, Can someone suggest another good dishwashing soap/gel/powder.
I use very less amount and it still stinks. While I wrk on getting rid of the smells, need to find another soap too.
Thanks

New formula is horrible! Leaves a lite brown 'scum' or stain on all porcelain and glass (have a look at the insides of your white teacups!)
Is there anyway to get Costco's attention and see if the won't get another supplier to fill their containers for them, perhaps Cascade if what others say on this site is correct?

I dislike all the new phosphate-free dishwasher soaps.

Where can I buy the good old stuff? Still available anyplace?

Costco touts itself as actually receptive to making the PERFECT product, PERFECT price, what the customer is looking for, etc... so I am shocked there isn't a public 'sorry my bad' from Costco on their site.

I thought this old thread was complainy and weird when I saw it so long ago... and a few weeks ago I opened the new detergent I'd bought months before and after a couple washes I COMPLETELY understood. All food on the plates take on the flavour. Forget leftovers. We have resorted to using ziplocks to put our food in in the fridge. We actually returned the unused bottles because my dh was really annoyed by his good food tasting awful.

All of our dishes and glasses smell and taste like perfume. its gross.

I switched brands and it took about 2 cycles of washing to totally get rid of the smell.

Forget the smell, the gel is clogging the washer arms in my dishwasher. My husband finds a "rubber" substance in the arm holes.
He has had to take the dishwasher apart and "dig out" the rubber accumulation in the arms. This only started after switching to
the Kirkland brand.

Kirkland brand is not good. We threw ours out.

The Kirkland liquid smells like rotten eggs when it is washing the dishes. I am going to return it and get cascade.
