Anyone else not liking the new Kirkland liquid dish detergent formula?

I have used Kirkland dishwasher soap for 5+ years now and had no problems. The new changes are horrible! Does not clean dishes well and leaves a film behind that makes my coffee and other foods taste like perfume. Even rinsed my coffee cup out this morning then wiped with paper towel and it still tasted like perfume. Please Costco go back to old dishwasher gel.

Have anyone notice that the old clear gel type of Kirkland dishwasher has some magic bleaching power, I use it to whitening my while 15+ years old corian kitchen sink, it worked so well to remove all those tea stain and other hard to remove color spot. It is as white as its first day in my house. The new formula does not have the same magic power, anyone know what product can be my replacement?

I too have noticed the strong floral scent that is left on my dishes and thought it was my dishwasher until I noticed the "new" scent. Its awful. I cant get it off my plastic dishes and it permeates everything and leaves an awful taste to anything in the dishes. I threw it away. I will not be buying it again. I still need to figure out how to get it off my dishes and my dishwasher though.

Phosphates haven't been banned for everyone, actually. There was actually a loophole allowed for commercial use, because everyone knew the green formulas wouldn't be worth a darn as far as effectiveness goes. So get ye down to your local restaurant supply store and you will be able to purchase dishwasher soap that actually works.

Everyone please return the " Improved Formula" Kirkland dishwasher soap. It has ruined my plastic dishes. Several complaints have also been posted on their Facebook page. Maybe if enough people return it they will correct the problem.

Im gonna return the soaps! I cannot stand the clinging scent. I have washed the dishes without the soap once more but still I cannot remove the scent.

I just returned the "new and improved" detergent yesterday. Just like many other have said, it left a scent/taste on all my plastic dishes. I just switched to Cascade, and problem solved! Costco, please go back to the drawing board and work on this formula...

horrible scent clings to dishes, I agree everyone should return and complain, this is going back to Costco today. 2 jugs would last forever, just can't stand it.

Yep pots, pans, and glasses all smell like perfume instead of 'clean'. Switching products.

Ugg. Same here. Picked up some at Costco last week. GF made me a big cup of coffee and I thought she was trying to poison me. The taste is in all our plastics, baby bottles, etc etc. If you take a plastic cup fill it with water and microwave it you will see a film of oil on top of the water. I even bought jet dry thinking it may help, even though I have a 1000$ dishwasher and have never used it. I'm taking it back and writing them a letter. Bad stuff

I hate the new Kirkland Liquid Gel Dishqasher Detergent.
WHEW, Talk about perfume smell. What in gads name do they think when they come up with the so-called " new and improved"? !!!
I take my glasses out, yes they are clean, just like they always were before the "new and improved" version.

They wreak of perfume. I make I morning coffee and put the coffee cup to my mouth and all I smell is perfume. And it affects the flavor of the coffee, so now I am hand rinsing my mug in very hot water AFTER it comes out of the dishwasher, to get the rotten perfume smell off.
I never had a soapy smell after the dishwasher but now the perfume must hang on and on and on. Why would anyone Want the Perfume smell on clean dishes. How about NO SMELL, including PERFUME.
I WILL QUIT PURCHASINGS COSTCO's Kirkland brand of dishwasher soap. Done with a smelling product all over my clean dishes.

I thought I was going crazy - we could not figure out where the perfume smell was coming from? My dish detergent is going back to Costco. If anyone figures out how to get the smell out - please let me know! We have tried washing without soap, hand washing everything - still has a faint smell.
