Sounds like the recipe for a VERY smelly car!

I mean, yes, they and the bell peppers, apples, etc. are an important part of UMC virtue-signaling on long drives. “It’s OK to stop at McDonalds this one time. We’re not REALLY people who eat there.”

But I think OP was asking about the treat items, the stuff that you don’t normally buy but go with road trips like popcorn and movie theaters. For me, it’s a can of Pringles. For kids, Doritos.

(Now cue all the people saying “But MY kids really do like carrot sticks!”)

You’re wrong. Our road trip snacks consist of grape tomatoes, apples, cheese sticks, berries, nuts.

A bag of hot fries from the gas station.

I can't stomach them any other time, but they always seem to hit the spot on road trips.

I would have passed on the chocolate almond bark, OP. Unless it’s in a cooler, I find all chocolate snacks melt on road trips and make a mess. I buy Keebler fudge stuffed elf cookies or Oreos for road trips chocolate cravings.

But oreos and keeblers don't taste like chocolate.

Naw, but they scratch the itch while snacking in the car. Pizza combos don’t taste like a real slice either!

Nothing that people are more likely to choke on (eg no carrots).
