It all sums up to a grim outlook, imo. And how exactly is the US going to combat a severe recession? They're blowing up our deficit by$4T more debt due to the proposed tax cuts. Where's the money going to come from when they need to spend even more deficit to combat the recession? Anyone else feel very bad about the economy and where we are headed? I feel like the bottom is going to fall out soon due to all of the jobs losses, and the US is headed for a very bad recession.

Ford is in trouble because they followed Democrats' global warming religion and went all in on electric vehicles.

So did Elon. But with the tariffs and consumer confidence going the way it is, things aren’t looking good, period. Ford is heavy into the very expensive pickup truck game, and we’ve probably hit a ceiling on who is going to buy a $75k truck right now.

The pickup line is not the source of the billions of dollars in losses. If Ford had stayed out of electric vehicles, the company would be in great financial health. However, Biden passed the Inflation Reduction Act and pushed new mileage rules, which encouraged Ford execs to push for electric vehicles. Toyota stayed out.

Toyota is being forced into merger with Honda because it is no longer viable as a stand alone company. Want to try for a better example?

It’s crazy how no one here sees what’s going on with BYD, XPEV and Xiaomi over seas. Like there is this tidal wave of low priced, high quality EVs being sold abroad that are completely fking TSLA and Ford and everyone’s values up and no in America even knows who they are. We are so insulated from world events, much by choice.

Her plan to curb inflation was to go after price gouging. She also wasn’t going to side with loser Russia and wasn’t going to put Americans out of work at massive scale — all causing a ripple effect that Americans aside from you understand because consumer confidence has dropped to levels not seen for 15 years.

She wasn't going to do anything. Whatever was running the country during Biden's residency? You don't know what they could have done, could have been worse. who owns China's debt? Their economy isn't doing well either. They heavily rely on our consumer buying their cheap products. They have entire towns they had built that stay empty. Europeans aren't hyper-consumers like we are and won't help absorb the flow of goods China needs to export. They had been relying on selling their own luxury goods to us, plus our vacation crowd. Honestly you have to be dim to not understand that when it comes to the elite classes and especially those holding tremendous wealth they are global citizens, they own multiple homes around the world and have multiple passports.
