What’s the tagline for the opposition?

I believe in the lines Kamala expressed. I get that we're all a bit cynical but, as old-fashioned as these sound, I do believe:
- there's more than unites Americans than divides us
- we want FREEDOM and stability
- we don't want to go back and lose more of our rights (which we seem to be losing more of every single day of this administration)
- we want a president who will work on behalf of all Americans, regardless of who they voted for, and will try to build up the country rather than tear it down
- we want strong national security, so we want to support our allies and not the world's dictators (as Trump did in the UN resolution on Ukraine & so many other actions)
- we want a leader who thinks about the country instead of himself first
- we want equality, not favors that give the rich even more (it amazes me that lower- and middle-class people believe Trump is their champion despite all the evidence to the contrary)
Ok, I guess those are longer than a quick tagline.
But these are some of the reasons why, as an independent, I was proud to side with Democrats this time. Oh, and I read the Wall Street Journal, so I knew that economists predicted she would be much better for the economy. That's proving to be true if you look at the stock market, plummeting consumer confidence and recession projections even though the fundamentals of the economy were good on Jan. 20.

Here’s what turned me off in the last election. I’m not going to put a lot of time into this because the name calling will start soon.

The focus on all of the Trump hatred. Move on. The end of democracy talk. The summer of vibes and brat campaign and nothing of substance. The protests and yelling that are still going on. Basically I want a mature adult who can have a rational conversation, with any political affiliation or gender, who is a strong leader. I’m not looking for a catch phrase or hat. I don’t want someone to tell me how to think.

And yes, I’m still mad about the Covid vaccine mandate I had to get for work and the condescending way I’m spoken to and told how I should be voting to protect my body. That goes for telling me how to vote for vaccines (which I would get anyway), as a women (I’ve never had an abortion but it’s my choice and this isn’t a topic I vote about) or immigration, since I’m from an immigrant family.

No name-calling here, but I gotta be honest. After reading what is important to you, it really seems that Trump would have been the LAST person you would vote for. Can you please explain hoe you came to the conclusion that Harris would have been worse than Trump?

I understand that brat didn’t land well with a lot of people, but it is better than maga, right? Also, best ass something started organically with voters. It wasn’t something Kamala sold.

What on earth did the Trump campaign offer “of substance”? He never even pretended to have a real plan for anything. He campaigned on hate and retribution. He said they were eating the dogs and cats, he had concepts of a plan, he got tired of questions so broke out in a dance party, he shut down a McDonalds so he could pretend to work there. Where was the substance? Kamala had WAY more substance in her campaign, especially considering the fact that she had zero prep time and was thrown in.

Were you forced to get a vaccine or lose your job? Honest question. It varies by employer. The fed gov never said people have to be fired if they don’t get vaccine. My employer just had unvax get temp taken every morning. That’s it.

Your views on abortion and immigration seem pretty liberal.

Not trying to come at you. Just genuinely curious how you decided on Trump if those are your views. Absolutely nothing you said indicated that Trump would get your vote.

This was not the entire reason but mid summer, when I was completely disgusted with both parties and the Democrats were full on with Biden’s declining health cover up and Harris summer of happy joy vibes Trump got shot in the face. He stood up and and yelled fight. He’s completely nuts and crazy. But who do you want in the face of evil, leading our country and facing other countries who want to destroy us? A woman who’s campaigning on happy joy vibes or someone who gets shot in the face and stands up and is ready to fight?

That moment is what got me thinking about Trump. I kept wondering how Biden or Harris would have reacted in that situation.

So let’s workshop the call to action through catchy messaging suitable for t-shirts, car magnets, tote bags, etc. If we can fit it on a lapel pin, even better.

What’s the logo?

What’s our counter to the red maga hat?

It needs to be positive. We need to fight back, but we need to foster hope.

Next: what will it take for opposition leaders to galvanize a groundswell of support that sparks real action?

And who are these leaders?

I think we need fresh faces with high energy. Fighters who can not only bring facts, but can throw out Tik Tok worthy zingers that reach and resonate with the masses.

We can do this, Dcumlandia!

If Trump and Elon cheated, they didn’t really win, which means we can rest easy and not drop any of or important but unpopular policies. We’ll be fine
