Will Maga just watch the sinking ship or admit they were wrong?

No. You just think it’s not going to affect you. Trump voters are all about themselves and their feelings. A recession, or at the rate Trump is going, a depression will affect you. You think deflation will magically allow you to improve your economic situation. But deflation means the economy grinds to a standstill.

More to the point, we're experiencing "sticky inflation".

Don't worry OP. There isn't another presidential election for four years.

Well, I didn't expect our president to purposefully crash the American and world economy.

But here we are.

and in a record 60 days

So you wanted hundreds of thousands of unemployed people, a stock market correction and trade wars with our closest allies?

Here ‘s what I can’t understand:

Don’t MAGA voters love national parks too?
Don’t they want there to be someone looking for a cancer cure?
Don’t they prefer the great USA over Russia?
Don’t they like and use social security?
In years past wouldn’t they to think the idea of invading Canada is incomprehensible?

I am actually dumbfounded that they don’t want any of this .

It's a cult. There is no reasoning with this.

Victorious and ascendant political parties don't tend to abandon themselves one month in.

Of course Republicans don't regret their vote. Of course they aren't yearning for Kamala's leadership. Of course they won't "admit they were wrong" to back a winning candidate and popular policies.

If the losing party, the Democrats, can't admit they were wrong to run on unpopular policies, then the winning party is even less likely to admit being wrong.

It's a "cult" that now includes a majority of voters, that gained former Democratic voters in every demographic. Another way to describe the Trump "cult" is... the American electorate.

It is going to take months, maybe years everyone. They don’t regret it because the day to day impacts haven’t been felt.

I did. It’s pretty obvious he was installed to destroy us. We have decades of evidence that he’s a conman and a crook who runs his “businesses” like a mobster.

Yes. This shouldn't be hard to understand. Yes OF COURSE we wanted hundreds of thousands of cushy federal government jobs eliminated. These people have been working from home FOR FIVE YEARS. Yes of course we wanted a correction. We are the party of the middle class. We need cheap houses and cheap stocks to buy. We're not fatcat DC lobbyists trying to preserve high stock prices so we can sell and live off the proceeds now that the Dems are out of power. And yes of course we want trade wars. The U.S. is poised to win them. U.S. labor benefits from trade barriers more than from free trade and open borders.

Republicans are happy, not sad. Democrats, now out of power AND losing political activism funding they used to pilfer from the taxpayers, are obviously not happy. Nor should they be. They will be out of power for at least the next 12 years.

This must be the latest idiotic talking point put out by Fox. A MAGA acquaintance seemed unconcerned when I mentioned that a recession was coming.

Yes, quite demonstrably yes. And it's looking like the Republican "cult" will win in 2026, 2028, and 2032. How about a little wager? If Republicans win in 2028 and 2032, you agree to stop calling them a cult. If Democrats win, then I, an Obama voter turned disaffected Dem for Trump, will accept the label of MAGA cultist!

MAGAs will stay on the sinking ship until they are in the water and no one comes to save them.

Look at what happened to FEMA in NC during the floods.

Reads as pure cope. And you're not getting another 12 years off of the coming economic performance. Tick tock, it's coming to an end day by day.
