Banned words

So once again, this is NOT a list of banned words.

Is it possible to post actual facts with out all the ridiculous hyperbole?

You are dead wrong. Unless you are working on federal grants and know the exact messaging we’re being told to dilute our work to the point of it becoming meaningless, which is of course, THE ENTIRE POINT, sit down and STFU.

I like you

WtF!

Why so these words need to be flagged at all, dimwit?

Because if there is the word FEMALE in say some research being done at NIH, they want to make sure it's not associated with trans research. Cases like that.

Do you not understand what the word "banned" means? And you're calling me a dimwit?

DP... They canceled research involving transgenic mice because they thought it was about "transgender" mice. That's as banned as it gets. That's as dimwit as it gets.

It's cringeworthy that anyone is trying to defend any of this.

We had to replace the word “gender” with “sex” on our website, lol. What a bunch of weirdos. Were these people not breastfed or something? What’s wrong with them? Is it nature or nurture?

No way you're this obtuse.

Our education system has truly failed us. And this is the consequence of that failure.

This likely won't end well.

Ok. You keep on keeping on with your "Trump banned these words! They are never to be said again!" and "Trump told us all to inject bleach immediately during covid!" and "that is - there goes democracy!!", and we'll just keep laughing at you.

I am so here for it.

ps - my education taught me to not draw catastrophic conclusions about things that I don't like, and also to not indulge in ridiculous hyperbole to try and make a point.

I'm not the poster you think I am. Fact is, I rarely post anything on this forum.

But the fact that your post appears fairly well written, yet contained such a fundamental dearth of basic critical thinking really moved me to respond.

And now, having read your more recent post, it's clear that it's not beneficial even trying to engage in any dialogue with you.

Yes yes I know. We are so used to being told how stupid and uneducated we are (I have a medical degree, BTW), and we are SO not worth your precious and brilliant time. We could never compare to you.

Bottom line is there is dialogue to be had, you just don't have anything substantive to say, and won't admit that the entire premise of this thread is based on hyperbole. SO you pretend you are just so far above us country bumpkins, you won't waste your time..

Your schtick is getting old.

PS - my initial post was factual devoid of name calling. Very first response called me a dimwit. FYI

unclench, bro. Damn

Think of the time and effort it takes to review anything that comes up with the word "female", confirm it does not reference forbidden topics, and then classify it as "passed." Which might not be a permanent state if they come up with something else verboten so it will have to be done again.

For that matter, if they want to prove all kinds of terrible consequences to people who in the past have had gender affirming case (be it therapy, hormones, surgery, whatever) they will also need that data. I suppose it will all have to be classified and then anyone who needs to use it has to get cleared for that classification category (so we'll have classified for national security, and another classified system for sex/gender, maybe separate ones for race, etc etc--all so two trans people in Maine can enter a swim meet, right?).
TALK ABOUT WASTE AND INEFFICIENCY.
Completely aside from the Orwellian nature of it all.

I thought the premise of persecution for homosexuality in the V for Vendetta movie was a stretch. Not so much anymore. That needs a major re-release.

Victims is crazy. Any agency that enforces criminal law uses that term.

You know “gender” and “sex” aren’t the same thing, right?

They canceled the research or flagged it? If you have a link to them canceling it I'd love to see it.

They only canceled research using transgenic mice if it was investigating the effects of transgender hormones. Other research using transgenic mice is not being stopped (cancer, asthma, etc). The first article talks specifically about studies looking at the effects of gender transitions using transgender mice.
