These words are not banned. Thy are a list of words that will be flagged in any government content. In many cases the words can stay. In some cases they suggest using other words. And some of the content may be removed completely. So once again, this is NOT a list of banned words. Is it possible to post actual facts with out all the ridiculous hyperbole?
WtF! Why so these words need to be flagged at all, dimwit?
Because if there is the word FEMALE in say some research being done at NIH, they want to make sure it's not associated with trans research. Cases like that. Do you not understand what the word "banned" means? And you're calling me a dimwit?
DP... They canceled research involving transgenic mice because they thought it was about "transgender" mice. That's as banned as it gets. That's as dimwit as it gets. It's cringeworthy that anyone is trying to defend any of this.
Think of the time and effort it takes to review anything that comes up with the word "female", confirm it does not reference forbidden topics, and then classify it as "passed." Which might not be a permanent state if they come up with something else verboten so it will have to be done again. For that matter, if they want to prove all kinds of terrible consequences to people who in the past have had gender affirming case (be it therapy, hormones, surgery, whatever) they will also need that data. I suppose it will all have to be classified and then anyone who needs to use it has to get cleared for that classification category (so we'll have classified for national security, and another classified system for sex/gender, maybe separate ones for race, etc etc--all so two trans people in Maine can enter a swim meet, right?). TALK ABOUT WASTE AND INEFFICIENCY. Completely aside from the Orwellian nature of it all. I thought the premise of persecution for homosexuality in the V for Vendetta movie was a stretch. Not so much anymore. That needs a major re-release.
