RAND's FFRDC w/ DHS is up for renewal soon |
MITRE 's is up now. (And this is public and I'm not a contracting official.) |
MIT/LL’s master contract with USD/R&E expires soon, and would need to be renewed. Lots of anxiety there about the delays with the renewal. |
True for the DHS FFRDC that Mitre has, but (as PPs have noted above) Mitre has many different FFRDcs and most are not up for renewal just now. |
No, that disclosure is not anti-competitive or otherwise improper… |
Same with RAND. Lot of anxiety. |
Incorrect. It’s disclosing internal deliberations about performer assessments on a public forum. |
It was awarded last in 2022. It's a five year contract. What am I missing? Yes, they could end it anyway early, but it doesn't look up for renewal. |
Any insight into whether JHU’s APL has been impacted yet re: layoffs, budget cuts etc? Would this be a bad place for a federal scientist in danger of being RIF’d to pursue employment? |
I have no specific info but I certainly wouldn't go to a UARC. |
Agree and there probably is another 5-yr option that could be exercised without a rebid. |
Why? |
It said nothing about performance assessment. There are many non-performance reasons that might drive a change in the structure. |
Because they either get caught up Palantir's war on orgs that compete with industry for software development or the general anti- any contract that ends in a report sentiment. |
