Buy low, sell high. When the market is down it's like a SALE at your local store - it's the time to buy!

I did my annual $200k investment two weeks ago...absolute worst timing. I am 7 years from my goal of retiring at 57. The only thing I can feel good about is that I started really investing excess cashflow from my business in 2021-2022 which has done well.

On fundamentals, competition from China and Europe is eating their lunch. There is no way for them to sustain the margins they have been enjoying with their crappy build quality.

But more importantly, the brand is now toxic. In order to want to buy one you have to be both a Nazi and wanting an electric car. If you were to draw a Venn diagram this would be an extremely small set…

Yep I think Tesla will be allowed to tank while Leon lives off government contracts and grants from the government using his other companies.

Your time horizon is abut 30 yrs. Slow and steady wins the race. It's tough to avoid the news and noise when in the US, but you will be in a better place mentally, and ultimately have more money if you tune it out.

Sadly, you cannot compare the situation pre-election with since the election.

So what action are you taking?

I moved the kids 529 money to safety. One is a junior and I'm fine with what we have. I also moved my 401(k) money but I'm 5 years from retirement.

Not time to buy yet! Give it at least couple months more . Tariff , delay tariff, tariff, now delay tariff. The market is not happy for awhile.

Once Trump has a tantrum meltdown he's going to continuously run his mouth in a way that drops the market.
