MCPS extended through June 17

My kids are in ES, and no, they will be in camp on June 16th & June 17th.

No issues for high school. Most high school classes are done before the end of school especially if they have a lot of seniors who are done around Memorial Day. Same goes for AP classes where almost nothing happens after the AP exam. No worries for elementary kids and probably for middle schoolers also.

Sleepaway camp is lovely... for the kid an for the parents who get a child-free two weeks! So stupid to extend the year like this was my point

Has this been officially announced? I heard the same rumblings from my principal, but not sure why this hasn't been announced. Maybe they are still trying to "figure out another route".

March 31 is Eid.
The idea of that being listed as a contingency make up day was always a farce. Let’s call it what it is. So much for “transparency.”

Taylor’s snow day video was a waste of time and resources.
Still waiting for the official make up day announcement and updated professional day at the of the year. So much for making summer plans.

Wondering when we’ll hear about the decision about the end of the school year. Seems strange we haven’t gotten an update on this as we are now foregoing another “contingency make up day.”
