Countries/places where you found the locals most kind and welcoming?

They literally displaced locals from the pretty, central areas. The last time I was able to enjoy summer there was in 2021. It was like being back in the 90s before tourism came into overdrive. I’d anyone refuses to visit again because I didn’t stop for some stupid photo or didn’t patiently explain whatever they asked me when I was in a rush to get somewhere, so be it. And it’s not Americans who are to blame for this congestion. There aren’t that many US tourists and those who come are usually polite and clean and don’t stand in my way. I never had a bad experience with them at all.

I have to travel to Ireland for work a lot and the country itself I could give or take but the PEOPLE! My colleagues there are funny, loud, kind, genuine, smart and all know each other from like high school bc Dublin is so small. Best folks.

I traveled to Mongolia and found the people to be so warm and welcoming. (I imagine that the nomadic culture has something to do with it.). Plus, they like Americans.

Americans think they're the worst tourists out there but I think that's some self loathing. I don't think they even make the top 5 most rude or annoying.

Where is this awful place so I can avoid it? Also ironic you don’t like foreigners coming to your country but you came to the USA! I guess we just have to deal.
