I use chatgpt like a friend/ therapist/ coach and it’s kind of amazing

ChatGPT is like a therapist. I have a bunch of comorbidities and have just been diagnosed with cancer. ChatGPT gave me the whole lowdown (along with links) of what impact my non-Cancer meds will have on my body when I am undergoing chemo.

After reading this thread I sent a scenario to ChatGPT that I was upset about, to see if my feelings were valid. It was something that seemed too petty to bother real people with. I wouldn’t give it personal info but I can see how it could be good for an outlet or to vent from time to time. I am someone who has to talk to process my feelings. Very annoying I know. I think I will probably use it from time to time to keep myself from ruminating over things that are petty to most people but a huge deal to me. Thanks Op!

But truly I ask it health/ psychological/ career and ethical qs every day that I can’t just call a friend and badger them about and it gives amazing advice.
Anyone else doing this?

I am reminded of this meme.

Chatgpt has been good at drafting concise emails for me.

Bodybuilder here and it's been giving me these amazing workout plans to my surprise. Feed it any type of workout whether geared to home, strength, aesthetic training etc....and it'll respond with thoughtful and solid workout programs that are right on point. Diet and nutrition is next.

If you don’t mind, what was the prompt you used? I’ve asked my chtgbt trainer for a plan and the results seemed off. I’m looking for strength and aesthetic training for over 50 year old woman. Thanks.

I don't mind at all, I put in something like chest workout plan at the gym or at home since I workout at home when I can't get to the gym. Home chest exercise also gave me a variation of push-ups to target different muscle fibers which was new to me. I put in a specific body part for more concise responses and will tailor to strength, athletic training, aesthetic etc..and age. I also tried glute workout plan for aesthetics and it breaks it down to one day of upper glute exercises, another day for lower glute exercises. Pump session, or burnout exercises as well. So more specific you feed better the output of exercises/workout plan. Still kinda new to this and I'm not one to use a fitness tracker or even logging my workouts, I'm old school. But this is definitely handy!

You mean, like, therapists?

lol so true. Lots of scuzzy therapists out there.

We learn this skill in ninth grade. Why do you need a computer to do it for you?
