I think it's only 10% that are remote. |
My agency has cancelled all recurring telework and all non-bargaining employees must be back at work by Feb 17, 5 days a week. |
We have metrics showing increased productivity. You have "a feeling" that somebody somewhere must be cheating. |
Which agency? |
was told 5 days |
Nothing from the management. Everyone on my team is 100% remote and in different parts of the country. I am very curious how this will play out. |
The new memo from OPM says everyone must report by next week. |
How about a link? |
The site is down, but it’s being discussed in the other thread. |
We are all in the office 50 percent time. Our office head said yesterday
1) We are waiting for departmental guidance 2) We don't have enough desks for everyone to come in 5 days a week. |
No. There is no reason to be in the office for 90% of rank and file workers. Electing this guy just set us back 10 years. Hope those egg prices come down soon. |
Just to clarify - before it came down, it said agencies have to make a policy by Friday and people should be full time in person in approx 30 days. It did not say report next week. |
USAID is crickets |
Private sector will keep doing it b/c talent wants it. This whole elimination of remote is b/c they're trying to downsize government this is a tool to make people miserable and force them to quit. Also our new gov't doesn't care about productivity - they want gov't to do way less of everything in general that it is doing unless it is the they want them to do. |
